Awarna Media (AM) has a history dating back eight years when it started as a small design agency (then known as Power Grafix) in Singapore. The company has since moved to Kuala Lumpur to better serve clients around the region -- in China, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, and just about anywhere in the region. With Kuala Lumpur as the hub, we are no more than three to four hours from most cities in Asia. The name "Awarna" is derived from the word "warna" which means "colours" in Malay or Indonesian.

Currently, the company offers services in the following areas:
- Publishing (on contract for both print and electronic versions)
- Design (A&P materials from logos and corporate identity to brochures and ads)
- Photography
- PR management (crafting and dissemination of corporate information, event management, etc)
- Media sales (acting as media representative for foreign publications)

AM was founded by Pete Wong, who started his career in advertising before moving on to media and publishing. Pete has worked for renowned ad agencies like Ogilvy & Mather and has offered his creative services to other agencies like J Walter Thompson and Batey Ads, among others. In media and publishing, he spent six years with Singapore Press Holdings working his way up to deputy editor before moving on to MediaCorp Singapore as Senior Editor.

With AM, Pete plays a multi-faceted role as creative director, writer and designer. Pete is also a career traveller and accomplished photographer with many of his editorial images appearing in magazines across the region. You can follow him on Facebook or visit his blog at www.petewong.net
